Treviso, October 25, 2023 – Photovoltaic, wind and solar energy. Here continues the energy transition of the country to an increasingly green and sustainable future. In fact, as mandated by the European Union and already embedded in the National Integrated Plan for Energy and Climate (PNIEC)
Italy must achieve a total of at least 80 gigawatts of installed power by 2030. This will be accomplished through a phased approach with specific milestones, which every Italian region
must adhere to under the vigilant oversight of the competent institutions. In this context, the findings of the FER Observatory (Osservatorio Fonti di Energia Rinnovabile – Renewable Energy Sources Observatory) conducted by Anie Rinnovabili, a member of Confindustria, based on Terna’s Gaudì data, reveal a 41% increase in the cumulative newly installed power within the realm of renewable sources during the second quarter of 2023, amounting to 1,066 megawatts. This achievement is primarily driven by wind power with 117 MW (a 4% increase) and, most notably,
photovoltaics with 943 MW (a 50% increase). In the latter sector, installations with a capacity of less than 10 kW constitute over 90% of the total, and between January and June 2023 more than 180,000 systems were connected to the grid. In detail, FER reported a 9% increase during the second quarter of 2023, followed by an expansion in the share of the national electricity demand being met by renewable energy sources, which now stands at 35% (a 3% increase from 2022). These significant data underscore a widespread need for sustainable economic policies, benefiting both the environment and businesses. This is a path that SolidWorld Group has been committed to for some time, proof of which is the agreement signed by its subsidiary, SolidFactory (specializing in turnkey 4.0 industrial projects), with Formula E (a part of the Baccini Group, with a strong track record in the industrial and photovoltaic sectors) In July 2023 SolidFactory acquired a branch of Formula E’s business, integrating SolidWorld’s 3D printing expertise with Formula E’s equipment for the production of high-quality panels. In this way SolidWorld Group has entered the global photovoltaic market which will pursue by establishing an innovative entity in both the solar sector and industrial automation and management processes related to manufacturing. The aim is to provide cost-effective solutions to solar panel manufacturers, ensuring
efficient solar panel production.
